1. Eligiblity

  • Monroe County (FL) student, grades 6 through 12, enrolled in public school, private school, Home Education Program in conjunction with the Monroe County School District, or have an approved Personalized Education Plan (PEP)
  • An un-weighted cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Approval from the student's current guidance counselor, assistant principal, or the principal

2. Test Scores

Demonstrated readiness for college coursework through minimum standardized test scores in any of the accepted placement tests.

3. Submit CFK Application

4. DE Eligibility Form

After submitting a CFK application, your next step is to complete and sign the DE Eligibility Form.
Your school's official must also verify your test scores, sign, and submit the form to CFK.
NOTE: Your CFK student account cannot be fully completed until BOTH this form and an application are submitted.

5. Account Activation

To activate your CFK account, you must first submit an application and complete the DE Eligibility form (see Step 3 and Step 4 above).
You will receive an acceptance email with your CFK ID from admissions once your DE Eligibility form is submitted and your application is accepted.

6. Class Registration

In searching for and selecting courses, you are strongly encouraged to meet with your school counselor and/or CFK academic advisor to ensure accuracy and eligibility.
Some courses have additional requirements, such as prerequisite classes that must be taken before you can move on to them.

Additionally, it is important to know and understand semester enrollment deadlines by referencing the Academic and Operational Calendars.

You and your school official must sign it and submit it to the CFK academic advisor. You can also start the form with a CFK advisor and have your school official sign after.

Either way, you must submit a course approval form for every semester in order to register for classes.
